Effie Southwick, of Union City, died October 27, 2016 , at the Corry Manor. Born February 17, 1926, in Townville, she was the daughter of the late Walter Hamilton and Tressa (Maynard) Parkin and the wife of the late Charles Curtis Southwick.
Effie attended the First United Methodist Church, Union City. She loved flowers, quilting, painting, and doing puzzles.
Survivors include daughters, Carol Southwick of Union City and Brenda Seitz and husband, Forest, of Grove City, Ohio; a son-in-law, Larry Geer of Union City and Dorothy Fairchild, who was like a daughter to Effie; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Geer who died February 22, 2010.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 1 p.m. until the hour of service at 3 p.m. Lea Guiney officiating at Michael S. Pandolph Funeral Home, Union City. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Titusville.
The family would like to thank the compassionate staff at Corry Manor and Community Nursing Services for their care of Effie.
