James D. Hawley, 68, of Union City, died September 18, 2016, at St. Vincent. Born July 23, 1948, in Union City, he was the son of the late Roy James and Mable Lillian (Bidwell) Hawley. He was a carpenter and Jack of all trades who previously worked for Venago Machine Company, MFG and Union City Chair. Jim was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and loved getting a “good bargain”, fishing, hunting, and listening to country music and watching Westerns. Survivors include a daughter, Jolene Bird of Union City; grandchildren Avery and Mackenzie; a brother, Keith Hawley of Union City; sisters, Gloria Hawley and Sally Majerik both of Union City. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Monica Hawley, siblings, Ann Applebee, Paul Hawley, Milford Hawley, Ralph Hawley, Larry Hawley, and Dale Hawley. Family and friends will be received Saturday from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at 1 p.m., at the Michael S. Pandolph Funeral Home, Union City.
