Karen K. Bleicher, 71, of Waterford, died January 22, 2017, at her residence. Born June 26, 1945, in Union City, she was the daughter of the late John and Olga (Dudics) Klus and the wife of the late Gerald “Jerry” Bleicher.
She was a member of St. Teresa Church, Union City. Karen worked as a cook at the former Log Cabin Resturant and the Shriner's of Erie. She made quilts for the new babies at St. Teresa Church and helped with SunShine Group of Erie.
Karen is survived by sons, Christian Bleicher and wife, Susan, of Spartansburg, Stefan Bleicher and wife, Michelle, of Fairview, and Hans Bleicher of Waterford; grandchildren, Gabriel, Natalie, Julia, and Ian; a brother, John “Jack” Klus, Jr. and wife, Brenda of Harbor Creek.
Family and friends will be received Wednesday January 25, 2017, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Michael S. Pandolph Funeral Home, Union City. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, January 26, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Teresa Church, Union City. Interment will follow in St. Teresa Cemetery, Union City.
