Bonnie L. (Toohey) Lyons, 78, of Union City, died March 3, 2017. Born August 6, 1938, in Union City, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary (Stover) Toohey and the wife of the late

David Lyons.

She retired from Corry Jamestown, worked as a telephone operator, Union City Country Club, and Ron Jones Hardwood. Also worked at Deer Head Inn and Log Cabin. Bonnie was a member of the former Ladies of the Moose Chapter 719. Vets Club of Corry and a Life Member of Corry Central Labor Club.

Survivors include a son, Jon Maker and wife, Renee, a daughter, Malissa Smith and husband, Glenn; a brother, Dave and wife, Jan; sister, Andrea and husband Bill; grandsons, Josh, Christofer, Aaron; a granddaughter, Kendra; Step grandchildren, Travis Smith and wife, Kim and Stephanie Duell and husband, Jared; several nieces and nephews; son-in-law, Dave Grinder; a special friend, Joe Silka and many friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Grinder; brothers, James, Lewis, Thomas, and Michael.

Family and friends may be received Tuesday, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Michael S. Pandolph Funeral Home, Union City. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Les Utegg officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Spartansburg.
