Carol Southwick

Carol Southwick, 70, of Union City, died March 4, 2017, at Select Specialty Hospital, Erie. Born July 12, 1947, in Union City. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Effie (Parkin) Soutwick.

She previously worked as a paralegal for Carney & Ruth prior to her appointment as district justice and then retired after 19 years of service as a district justice for Union City. Carol was a member of First United Methodist Church of Union City, Union City Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, and member of the former Ladies of the Moose Chapter 719. She also served as secretary of Evergreen Cemetery.

Survivors include a sister, Brenda Seitz and husband, Forest, of Grove City, Ohio; brother-in-law, Larry Geer of Union City; an aunt Pauline Snyder of Hydetown, and a special friend, Dorothy Fairchild. Further, she is survived by a niece, three nephews, and many great nieces and great nephews.

Family and friends may gather from 11 a,m, until the hour of service at Noon at First United Methodist Church Union City, with Rev. Lea Guiney officiating.
