Gary L. Hyde

Gary L. Hyde, 73, of Union City, died July 14, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital. Born May 20, 1945 in Union City, he was the son of the late Joseph and Frances (Alexander) Hyde and the husband of Jean (Kozak) Hyde. 
He was retired from GE Aerospace and GE Transportation.  He was a member of American Legion Post 237 and its Rider Club, VFW Post 6773, and Moose Lodge 882.  He loved motors and enjoyed restoring his Corvette, riding his Harley Davidson, and playing the guitar in several local bands for many years.
In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by sons, Michael Hyde of Union City and Stephen Hyde and wife, Judianne of North East; daughter, Jacqueline Hyde and husband, Stephen Dilts; a sister, Sally Hyde of Waterford; and grandchildren, Rachel, Alysia, and Carlos. Family and friends will be received at St. Teresa Church on Saturday, August 11, from 10 a.m. until the Memorial Mass at 11 a.m. with Monsignor John Swoger officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
