Kaylah Elizabeth McGeary, 10, of Union City, died December 7, 2018, in the loving arms of her parents surrounded by her brothers. Born November 14, 2008, in Erie, she was the daughter of John and Natalie (Laniewicz) McGeary.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Church, in Erie, PA. Kaylah was full of life and enjoyed building puzzles, memory games, feeding ducks, playing on the playground, swimming, watching animated movies, watching PBS Kids, dancing, singing, and laughing. She had remarkable strength, was phenomenally positive everyday, and never complained. She was gentle, humble, kind, and always grateful for all those that helped her. Life will never be the same on this Earth without her. She will forever be remembered and always live on in our hearts.
In addition to her beloved parents, she is survived by her little brothers, Iain, Anthony, and Edgar; grandparents, JoAnn MacRae of Bee Branch, AR, Kempton MacRae of Houston, TX, David McGeary of Allison Park, and Richard and Elaine Laniewicz of Erie; uncle, Wyatt McGeary; aunts, Melinda Schiller and husband, Bryant, Katie Hendricks and husband, Monty, Amber McGeary, and Michelle Schreckengost and husband, Bill.
Family and friends will be received Thursday, December 13, 2018, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Michael S. Pandolph Funeral Home, Union City. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday December 14, 2018 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 147 W 24th Street, Erie PA 16502, with Father Larry Richards officiating. Everyone please meet at the Church for the Mass.
Since Kaylah loved vibrant colors, it is requested that you bring smiles, laughter, and wear colorful clothing. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Michael S. Pandolph Funeral Home in Union City, PA.
