Christine Carson Obituary

Christine Carson, 56, of Union City, died February 7, 2021, at UPMC Hamot. Born December 14, 1964, in Erie, she was the daughter of Vera (Gilger) Duke and the late Herbert Weed.

Christine loved everyone and especially being Grandma.

In addition to her beloved mother, survivors include step father, Walter Duke: a daughter, Jaleesa Weed (Isaiah Edwards); step daughter, Andrea Maloney of Erie; brothers, Jonathan Weed (Penny) of Carlisle and Todd Weed (Michele) of Union City; sister, Rhonda Weed of Meadville and Patti Plachta (Jay) of Waterford; step sisters, Becky Zirkle (Daryl) of Cambridge Springs, Debbie Duke of Erie, Brenda Elias of Erie, and Sue Barnes of Albion; her beloved grandchildren Bentley, Makenzie, Laniya, La'Riya, Dewayne, and Keenan: numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father; step sister, Lisa Gillette; step brothers, Ronald Duke and Wally Duke and a nephew, Matt Elias, Jr.

She always wanted to help everybody, and to her family she was “Mother Teresa.”

Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., at the Michael S. Pandolph Funeral Home, Union City. A private service will be held for family.

Memorial contributions may be made to Jaleesa Weed in care of the funeral home.
