Donald Soety

Donald J. Soety, Jr., 54, of Union City, died May 24, 2016, at St. Vincent Health Center. Born December 11, 1961, in Union City, he was the son of Eleanor Polack Soety and the late Donald J. Soety, Sr.

Don worked as a janitorial supervisor for Keystone Blind Co. and previously worked for Union City Chair and Ethan Allen. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

In addition to his beloved mother, survivors include a step daughter, Carrie Eberlin and her boyfriend, Mike, of Union City; a sister, Deborah Bidwell and husband, Jeff, of Union City; brothers, Bob Soety and wife, Pam, of Florida, Tim Soety of Cambridge Springs, David Soety and wife, Linda, of Union City, Danny Soety and wife, Leslie, of South Carolina; step grandchildren, Evan, Sara, Aaron, Ray, and Rachel;aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was also survived by his service dog Coca.

Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his longtime companion, Mary Drzewieski.

Family and friends will be received Thursday from 6 p.m. until the hour of a memorial service at 8 p.m. with Rev. Rob Wilert officiating, at the Michael S. Pandolph Funeral Home, Union City.
